Abstract

Tetrathiafulvalene derivatives were chemisorbed on platinum electrodes. The electrochemical behavior and the stability of the resulting redox active self-assembled monolayers in the presence of various anions was studied by cyclic voltammetry. The particularly stable modified electrodes showed a high sensitivity for the detection of halides and nitrate in aprotic and aqueous solvents.
